PRINT/RUN

“WE WANT JUSTICE.

WE WON’T ACCEPT PEACE. BEST WISHES.

WARMEST REGARDS,

CLASS STRUGGLE.”

The Union Jack flag is burning, and three boys are writing a school newspaper. One of them wants a revolution, one of them wants to rule, and one of them wants to fit in.

PRINT/RUN is a crash course in failure. A funny, charged, moving story about three young people in a big world, PRINT/RUN utilises the structure of past revolutions as dramaturgical acts, to explore how we revolt, who we revolt against, and why.

PRINT/RUN was developed with mentoring from Lynda Radley as part of the University of Glasgow’s Playwriting & Dramaturgy MLitt in early 2024.

It has since received a showcase as part of the University of Glasgow's Future Creatives Event, directed by Philip Howard, as well as a day of development from Playwrights’ Studio Scotland as part of their Off the Page program, facilitated by Douglas Maxwell.
