CRY/LAUGH was developed as part of my practice-as-research Masters Dissertation, which I submitted in 2024.
In my research I explored trans futurity. I aimed to build an explicitly ‘trans dramaturgy’ that stood outside of trans testimonial storytelling, using formal methods to explore what transness means as it lives & breathes within a script.
It received a scratch performance at _and friends on 27th October 2024, directed by myself and performed by Emily White and Lois Hunt.
